Mile 20 Paddlers Camp serves as a rest stop along the Devils River in the North Unit within Val Verde County's 37,000-acre wilderness. Clear spring-fed water tumbles past rugged ridges and scenic canyons with brushy banks. Primitive campsites provide minimal shade and require total self-sufficiency: pack all water, supplies, and waste out of the area. Terrain elevation ranges from 1,300 to 2,080 feet with over 25 miles of hiking and biking trails through remote canyon country.
