Martin Dies, Jr. State Park occupies 705 acres where the Angelina and Neches rivers meet the B.A. Steinhagen Reservoir in East Texas's Pineywoods on the northern edge of the Big Thicket. The park features over 200 campsites, most with water and electric hookups, screened shelters, and cabin rentals sited along the lake and sloughs. Nearly 14 miles of paddling trails cross the rivers and sloughs, while the park also supports fishing, swimming, hiking, and biking. A Nature Center offers educational programs.
