Sportsman's Cove Special Event Area is a group facility set in a mixed hardwood-pine forest on the shores of Wright Patman Lake. Designed for large gatherings and fishing tournaments, the site features a boat ramp, a parking lot, and a 60-by-60-foot partially shaded pavilion equipped with lights, electrical outlets, ten picnic tables, a grill, and potable water. An air-conditioned restroom with showers and a dumpster are on site. The surrounding public forest land supports white-tailed deer, wild turkey, and migratory birds, while the lake holds bass, catfish, crappie, and sunfish.
