Rocky Point Park is a year-round facility set in a hardwood and pine forest on the shore of Wright Patman Lake. The campground has 124 hard-surface sites with water and electric hookups (some with 50-amp service or sewer connections), plus a dump station and a day-use group shelter for up to 60 people. On-site features include a swim beach, boat ramp, playground, volleyball court, amphitheater, and a 1.3-mile trail connecting to Piney Point Campground. Campers fish for bass, crappie, and catfish, while surrounding public forests host deer, turkey, waterfowl, and wintering bald eagles.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Sits on broad, near-level ground.

Crowded here -- the nearest through road is 0.2 miles off, a 124-site campground. The Wright Patman Lake shoreline is 0.3 mi off. Night skies measure Bortle 4 -- a rural sky with a glow on the horizon. Open country -- nothing named rises within 30 miles of here. Most sites here have an electric hookup -- 6 sit on the water, most of them shaded. The nearest town, Queen City, is 9.4 mi off.

September normals 6488°F, 3.7″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
