Wade Lake Campground occupies a steep, Douglas fir-forested hillside above a clear 200-acre spring-fed lake at 6,217 feet in the Gravelly Range. Its 25 campsites include two group setups and two walk-in tent sites, all equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and bear-proof food storage bins. Amenities spread across two loops include vault toilets, seasonal water spigots, and a natural-surface boat ramp. Due to narrow roads and sloping terrain, trailers over 24 feet are not recommended. Visitors come for trout fishing, small craft boating, local hiking, and nearby Madison River fly fishing.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.

Wade Lake lies 0.2 mi off. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.3 miles off, a 29-site campground. 2 hike-in sites -- 7 sit on the water, most of them shaded. Hilgard Peak stands 4,594 ft above the site, 9.5 miles northeast. The nearest town, West Yellowstone, is 25 mi off.

September normals 3367°F, 1.1″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
