West Fork Campground offers seven small campsites tucked into an old-growth spruce and Douglas fir forest along the West Fork of the Madison River. The access road splits the site into two individual northern spaces and a five-site southern loop. Due to tight turns and limited space, trailers are prohibited. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and a bear-proof food storage locker. Facilities on the loop side include two outhouses and a water spigot. Fishing is steps away in the river, with OHV and hiking trails extending into the nearby Gravelly Mountains.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.

West Fork Madison River runs 0.1 mi off. Hilgard Peak stands 5,289 ft above the site, 6.3 miles east. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.2 miles off, a single-site campground. One sits on the water -- most of them shaded. The nearest town, West Yellowstone, is 28 mi off.

September normals 3968°F, 1.3″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
