Coconino National Forest, Red Rock Ranger District allows dispersed camping here -- 14-day limit in any 30 days.

All 17 miles in are maintained only for high-clearance vehicles. Dirt the whole way in (17 miles). Climbs 2,000 ft over 17 miles -- sustained grades near 16%, with pitches to 27%. Stretches run along a shelf with a drop of up to ~130 ft on the downhill side. Winds through 10 switchbacks. Dead-ends 3.2 miles in -- mapped turnaround at the end. A cattle guard 8.8 miles in.
