Civilian Conservation Corps Campground sits in a grove of large sycamore trees near the Cave Creek Riparian Ecosystem. Located near the towns of Carefree and Cave Creek, the layout features 10 spread-out campsites equipped with picnic tables and firepits with cooking grates. The site is best suited for tents and small rigs up to 16 feet. Amenities include trash cans, but there is no drinking water on site. The nearby Cave Creek Trailhead provides access to local hiking, equestrian routes, OHV trails, and bird watching.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
Seven Springs Wash runs 0.3 mi off. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 4-site campground. Quien Sabe Peak stands 1,524 ft above the site, 2.6 miles south. Night skies measure Bortle 3 -- a dark rural sky. The nearest town, Cave Creek, is 11 mi off.
