Clear Creek Campground sits at 3,200 feet in the Verde Valley along the banks of Clear Creek, seven miles southeast of Camp Verde. Part of Coconino National Forest near the base of Cactus Mountain, the flat, grassy setting features shade from surrounding cottonwoods. The facility has 18 standard family sites and a dedicated group site holding 80 people and 20 vehicles. On-site activities focus on wading, birdwatching, and fishing for smallmouth bass and green sunfish. Montezuma Castle National Monument and Montezuma Well are notable ancient historic sites located a short day trip away.
