Meridian State Park spans 505 acres in the Hill Country 50 miles northwest of Waco, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1933-34. The park centers on 72-acre Lake Meridian, a scenic no-wake lake rimmed by limestone bluffs and overlooks. Cedar Ridge Campground includes a group youth area accommodating up to 72 supervised youth. The park provides full-hookup and primitive campsites, screened shelters, and three cabins spread across multiple campground areas. Over 5 miles of hiking trails wind through rolling terrain; an ADA fishing pier and kayak rentals enable water access. Swimming, fishing, and paddling are year-round draws.
