Meridian State Park - Crosstimbers Campground in TX
TX State Parks allows overnight stays only at the designated sites here.
Meridian State Park sits in the Hill Country 50 miles northwest of Waco, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1933-34. The park's 505 acres center on 72-acre Lake Meridian, a no-wake lake surrounded by limestone bluffs and scenic overlooks. Crosstimbers Campground offers full-hookup pull-through sites and electric-only spaces, plus screened shelters for a sheltered lakefront experience. The park has primitive campsites and three cabins across multiple areas. Over 5 miles of hiking trails wind through rolling woods, and an ADA fishing pier provides lake access. Swimming, fishing, and kayaking are available; a visitor center and park store serve the grounds.
