Mud Lake Campground sits at 7,100 feet elevation in the Southern Elkhorn Mountains, across from the Anthony Lake Ski Area. Sites are divided between dense pine and fir forest and an open meadow, offering views of Gunsight Peak. The facility features six standard electric sites and one non-electric site, each built with a picnic table and grill. Vault toilets are located on-site, while drinking water is available nearby at Anthony Lake Campground. The area provides access to Mud Lake, the 22.6-mile Elkhorn Crest Trail, singletrack bike trails, and the Elkhorn Scenic Byway.
