Congo Gulch is a two-story Forest Service cabin at 5,000 feet in the Blue Mountains, part of the historic 1908 Fremont Powerhouse complex near Granite. Accommodating up to 12 guests across three bedrooms, it features electric lights, an oil heating stove, a fully equipped kitchen, and a full bathroom with summer running water. Seasonal outhouses replace indoor plumbing from October through May. An outdoor brick fireplace and picnic table sit near an adjacent pond. Surrounding trails access the North Fork John Day Wilderness, with boating 10 miles away at Olive Lake.
