Situated atop Snow Camp Mountain at an elevation of 4,223 feet, Snow Camp Lookout provides wide views extending to the Pacific coastline. Rebuilt in 2004, the 15-by-15-foot cabin is furnished with a double bed and mattress, table, chairs, food preparation counter, and a wood-burning cook stove. Outside facilities include a picnic table and a nearby pit toilet. Vehicle parking is located 200 yards down the trail from the summit cabin. There is no water on site. The historic Snow Camp Trail begins nearby, offering foot access through mountain meadows to Windy Valley and its small creek.

Road difficulty 3 of 5 -- a rough drive in. Recorded as maintained only for high-clearance vehicles, dirt, pitching to 0%, 100% of it on a shelf. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.

Private here -- the nearest through road is 1.0 miles off, a single-site campground. Jacoby Butte stands 835 ft above the site, 1.3 miles northeast. Cabins and shelters rather than pads. The nearest town, Gold Beach, is 13 mi off.

September normals 5375°F, 2.9″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
