Ridge Road Campground occupies a pine and hardwood peninsula along the shore of the 70,000-acre J. Strom Thurmond Lake. The park provides 63 campsites equipped with water and electric hookups alongside designated primitive sites. Facilities include two bathhouses with flush toilets and hot showers, vault toilets, two dump stations, a boat ramp, a playground, and a designated swimming beach. Located 15 miles from the lake's dam and visitor center, the campground offers convenient water access for boating and fishing, with the 27-mile Bartram Trail accessible seven miles away.
