Lake Springs Recreation Area is a wooded day-use park on the shores of J. Strom Thurmond Lake, 20 minutes from Augusta, Georgia. The site features four group picnic shelters with water and electrical hookups, alongside flush and vault toilets, drinking water, a playground, a lookout tower, a boat ramp, a dock, and a fish cleaning station. Ground trails include the 1.8-mile Lake Springs Loop, which connects to the 27-mile Bartram Trail along the shoreline. Beaches and picnic areas operate seasonally, while the boat ramp and fishing pier remain open year-round.
