West Tensleep Lake Campground is situated on the southern shore of 125-acre West Tensleep Lake in a forest of lodgepole pine, Douglas fir, and spruce. The campground features single-family sites equipped with picnic tables and fire rings with grills, alongside drinking water, trash collection, and accessible vault toilets. The lake is restricted to non-motorized watercraft, serving as a spot for canoeing and trout fishing. The West Tensleep Lake Trail begins at the site, running past high-country lakes to the 13,167-foot summit of Cloud Peak in the Cloud Peak Wilderness.
