Camping area within a 525-acre state park centered on a 1,680-acre reservoir near Laredo in the Tamaulipan mezquital—landscape of mesquite, palo verde, and prickly pear. Area N provides campsites with water and electric service, some with sewer hookups. The lake supports largemouth bass, catfish, and other gamefish accessed via fishing piers and boat ramps. Recreation spans water activities (boating, water-skiing, swimming) and land pursuits (hiking, biking, birding) in this subtropical setting near Mexico.
