Camping area within a 525-acre state park built around a 1,680-acre reservoir near Laredo, surrounded by Tamaulipan mezquital landscape of mesquite, palo verde, and prickly pear. All campsites feature water and electric hookups with select sites including sewer service. The reservoir supports largemouth bass, hybrid striped bass, and catfish fishing accessible via boat ramps and piers. Day-use amenities include picnic pavilions, playgrounds, sports courts, and opportunities for hiking, biking, and birding minutes from the Mexican border.
