Primitive camping in rugged limestone terrain along the Colorado River. The South Camping Area offers drive-up and walk-in tent sites (no hookups), compositing toilets, and direct river access. The park encompasses over 35 miles of hiking and biking trails, including the scenic 3-mile Gorman Falls trail and trails leading to underground caves and natural springs. Elevation 1,025 feet. The landscape features rough karst terrain characteristic of the Balcones Escarpment, two hours northwest of Austin.
