River Backcountry Area at Colorado Bend State Park is a primitive wilderness camping zone less than 1 mile from the River Trailhead along the Colorado River in the Texas Hill Country. Each site accommodates up to 4 people in designated areas emphasizing low-impact, leave-no-trace camping. No water or toilets are available; visitors use containerized fuel stoves for cooking and open fires are prohibited. All trash must be carried out. Karst terrain features limestone formations and river access.
