Camping area in Palo Duro Canyon State Park in the Texas Panhandle near Canyon, the second-largest canyon in the nation. Elevation ranges from 2,759 to 3,463 feet with dramatic colorful cliffs and scenic vistas. The park features 30+ miles of multiuse trails, 1,500 acres of horseback riding terrain, a visitor center, and the Pioneer Amphitheater hosting the TEXAS Outdoor Musical. CCC-built historic cabins still operate alongside modern campsite accommodations.
