The site sits amid dramatic volcanic terrain with towering lava formations, deep canyons, high plateaus, and elevations ranging from 2,300 feet along the Rio Grande to peaks exceeding 5,100 feet. This landscape reflects millions of years of geological activity shaped by ancient seas, tectonic plate shifts, and volcanic processes.
