The most remote and spectacular campsite in Texas's largest state park, Guale sits on a mesa near the edge of a canyon with dramatic vistas in every direction. Set in high desert terrain at elevation above 5,000 feet. Primitive camping with picnic table and fire ring; no hookups, water, or restrooms. Accessible by high-clearance vehicle over unmaintained park roads. Part of a 311,000-acre wilderness with 238 miles of hiking and biking trails.
