Remote interior campsite in Texas's largest state park, set in high desert mountains along the Rio Grande. Rancherias site sits at the entrance to a canyon accessible by 4-wheel-drive road. Dramatic elevation changes and canyon day-hikes nearby. Primitive camping with no hookups or water; requires hauling out waste. A two-night, three-day backpacking loop option also available. Park features 238 miles of trails for hiking and biking.
