Primitive walk-in campground with three campsites 75 yards from parking near Chaquita Falls in the Hill Country. Each site accommodates up to eight people with picnic tables, fire rings, water access, and chemical toilets. Located within 5,369 acres of rugged limestone terrain featuring eroded hills and mesas at elevations to 2,000 feet. Over 40 miles of multiuse trails traverse the property for hiking, biking, and horseback riding through oak groves and creek systems. Established from Louise Merrick donations (1976–1982), the area opened publicly in 1984 and is preserved to remain 'far removed and untouched by modern civilization.'
