Tent-only camping among towering Lost Pines, a loblolly pine forest unique to the region east of Austin. Sixteen sites with picnic tables, fire rings, and nearby water and restroom facilities. Set within a recovering forest with seven miles of trails, two fishing lakes (Little Alum Creek and Mina), and a seasonal swimming pool. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, the park showcases ecological restoration and offers wildlife viewing, hiking, and geocaching.
