Amole Group Shelter is a high-altitude facility set at 8,400 feet within a stand of tall ponderosa pines, featuring a shelter built on a hill overlooking a meadow. Located next to the Amole Canyon Day Use Area, it accommodates groups of up to 100 people with gated access, gravel and paved parking, twin barbecue grills, picnic tables, a group fire ring, and accessible twin vault toilets via a paved path. No water or trash service is provided. Nearby, 11 miles of non-motorized trails offer access to the South Loop, Upper Cutoff, and Tio Maes trails, with views of the Rio Pueblo Valley.
