Located five miles inside Theodore Roosevelt National Park's South Unit, this year-round facility offers a group site for 7 to 20 people set among cottonwood trees along the Little Missouri River. The site features picnic tables, vault toilets, drinking water, and a seasonal water fill station through October 1, though it lacks hookups and a dump station. Bison frequently pass through the area. Nearby draws include 70 miles of park trails, bird watching, the historic Peaceful Valley Ranch, and the gateway town of Medora.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Overhead clearance here is posted at 13 ft -- the tightest site sets the limit. Sits on broad, near-level ground.

Little Missouri River runs 0.1 mi off. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a single-site campground. A group campground -- most of them shaded. The nearest town, Dickinson, is 35 mi off.

September normals 4575°F, 1.6″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
