Roundup Horse Campground is a group facility in the badlands terrain of Theodore Roosevelt National Park's South Unit, set near the Little Missouri River among seasonal cottonwood trees. Operating from May through October, the site accommodates up to 30 people and 20 horses, offering gravel parking pads, picnic tables, and toilets. Equestrian campers and hikers have immediate access to around 70 miles of park trails, with water fill stations available nearby.

Getting there: The South Unit entrance is in Medora, ND. Medora is accessible via Interstate 94 Exits 24 and 27 in North Dakota. Note exit 27 is westbound exit only. Medora is 133 miles (214 km) west of Bismarck, ND and 27 miles (43 km) east of the Montana state line.
