Camping area within Lathrop State Park, a 1,594-acre park near Walsenburg overlooking the Spanish Peaks National Natural Landmark. Two lakes—Martin Lake and Horseshoe Lake—offer fishing for tiger muskie, rainbow trout, bass, catfish, and northern pike. Beach and boat ramps on both lakes with water skiing and windsurfing available. Park features 103 total campsites, 8 miles of trails, and an on-site golf course with restaurant. Recently added 4.5 miles of mountain bike trails.
