Scenic peninsula campground at Folsom Lake between the north and south forks of the American River, surrounded by Sierra Nevada foothills 25 miles east of Sacramento. Offers 69 family sites with tent and RV loops; sites 50-69 feature full hookups with electric, water, and sewer. Both loops have modern restrooms with showers, beach access with seasonal lifeguards, and paved trails for hiking and biking. The renowned 32-mile American River Parkway trail begins here, following the river to Old Sacramento. Kayak and paddleboard rentals available at the snack bar.
