Orland Buttes Recreation Area sits along the basalt bluffs and blue oak woodlands of Black Butte Lake in northern Sacramento Valley. Operating seasonally from April through mid-September, this dry campground offers 35 individual family sites and a 50-person group site, but has no electric or water hookups. On-site facilities include restrooms with showers, a boat ramp complex, and an 18-hole disc golf course. Visitors use the site to launch wakeboarding boats, sail, fish for crappie and bass, or hike the Paul Thomas Trail. Horse trails at Grizzly Flat are located nearby.
