Stumpy Meadows Campground sits in a dense conifer forest of ponderosa pine, fir, oak, and cedar within Eldorado National Forest, a short walk from Stumpy Meadows Reservoir. Well-spaced campsites offer privacy under a heavy tree canopy. On-site facilities include vault toilets and drinking water spigots. Located a mile from the sites, a public boat ramp provides access to the reservoir for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and slow-paced motorboating capped at 5 m.p.h. Nearby forest trails offer options for hiking and mountain biking, while historic Georgetown is 15 miles away.
