Built in 1933, McCain Guard Station sits at 6,900 feet in an open mountain valley beside a creek feeding Little Greys River. The two-room, non-electric cabin sleeps six guests on bunkbeds with mattresses. Kitchen amenities include a propane cooktop, propane lighting, a propane heater, a woodstove, and a table with chairs. An outdoor vault toilet, picnic table, and fire ring sit behind the structure. No running water or cookware is supplied. Nearby routes include Big Springs Trail, Bailey Creek Trail, and Telephone Pass.
