Encampment River Campground sits along the Encampment River amid cottonwoods, willows, juniper, wild rose, and sagebrush. It features eight back-in campsites, each equipped with a sandy tent pad, picnic table, and a fire ring or grill. On-site facilities include a vault toilet, day-use parking, and access to the non-motorized Encampment River Trail, which is open year-round for hiking. The river supports rainbow and brown trout, drawing anglers and floaters, while local wildlife includes bighorn sheep, pronghorn, mule deer, and bald eagles. Visitors must bring their own firewood and drinking water.
