Yellow Pine Campground consists of 19 campsites set in a single loop among mixed conifers and aspen trees within the Medicine Bow National Forest. Designed for tents, trailers, and RVs, each site includes a picnic table, campfire ring, and pedestal grill. Vault toilets and trash collection are located on site, though no water, electric, or sewer hookups are available. The campground connects directly to the Tie City trail system for mountain biking and winter cross-country skiing.
All 0.6 miles in are maintained for passenger-car comfort. Dirt the whole way in (0.6 miles).
Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 19-site campground. The Cortana's Lake shoreline is 1.2 mi off. Sherman Mountains stands 632 ft above the site, 1.4 miles south. The nearest town, Laramie, is 11 mi off.
