This 181-acre park sits two miles southwest of Pateros in the Okanogan County mountains, anchored by Alta Lake's 220-acre expanse. Dramatic stone cliffs rise 1,000 feet above the valley, formed by glacial activity and reaching toward Old Goat Mountain's 4,200-foot summit. The lake supports camping, picnicking, and 2 miles of hiking trails, with recreation including swimming, boating, sailboarding, and fishing. The park recovered from severe wildfire damage in 2014.
