Ferron Campground sits at 9,400 feet on the Wasatch Plateau next to Ferron Reservoir and the historic Indian Creek Guard Station. The alpine basin features spruce, fir, and aspen trees. On-site facilities include gravel roads, vault toilets, drinking water, single-family sites south and west of the lake, and a group site for up to 50 people on the northeast shore. Visitors come for small-craft boating, canoeing, and trout fishing on the reservoir, as well as designated 50-inch and 66-inch OHV trails. Skyline Drive and the 350-mile Arapeen OHV Trail System pass nearby.
