Nizhoni Campground rests at 7,000 feet in the Manti-La Sal National Forest at the foot of the Abajo Mountains. Shadowed by tall ponderosa pines, Gambel oaks, and sagebrush, the grounds feature individual campsites and two 50-person group sites. Facilities consist of gravel roads and parking spurs, picnic tables, campfire rings, vault toilets, and seasonal drinking water. The site provides access to local trailheads including Shay Ridge, Aspen Flat, and Red Ledges, and sits directly along the Abajo Loop State Scenic Backway.
