Located 9 miles northwest of Del Rio, Texas, San Pedro Group Campground sits within Amistad National Recreation Area near Lake Amistad, a reservoir formed by the Rio Grande, Devils, and Pecos Rivers. This private, primitive group area accommodates up to 75 people and features a large pavilion, picnic table, campfire ring with benches, pedestal grill, and a vault toilet. Campers must bring their own drinking water. The surrounding 57,292-acre park provides access to boat ramps, bass fishing, hunting, and regional state parks featuring ancient rock art and limestone caverns.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Sits on broad, near-level ground.

The Amistad Reservoir shoreline is 0.1 mi off. Night skies measure Bortle 4 -- a rural sky with a glow on the horizon. Open country -- nothing named rises within 30 miles of here. A group campground -- one sits on the water, most of them shaded. The nearest town, Cienegas Terrace, is 7.1 mi off.

September normals 6991°F, 3.1″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
