National Park Service allows overnight stays only at the designated sites here.

Located 11 miles north of Del Rio, Texas, 277 North Group Campground offers a private, primitive group campsite for up to 35 people within Amistad National Recreation Area. The site includes a large covered pavilion, picnic table, campfire ring, pedestal grill, and a vault toilet. Water is not available on site, so visitors must supply their own. The park encompasses Lake Amistad and the confluences of the Rio Grande, Pecos, and Devils Rivers, providing nearby access to open-water bass fishing, hiking trails, hunting lands, and public boat ramps situated 15 miles away at Rough Canyon.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Sits on broad, near-level ground.

The Amistad Reservoir shoreline is 0.1 mi off. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a single-site campground. Open country -- nothing named rises within 30 miles of here. A group campground -- one sits on the water, most of them shaded. Night skies measure Bortle 3 -- a dark rural sky. The nearest town, Del Rio, is 9.8 mi off.

September normals 6991°F, 3.1″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
