San Angelo State Park - River Bend Campground in TX
TX State Parks allows overnight stays only at the designated sites here.
River Bend Campground is a tent-only area within San Angelo State Park offering backcountry camping on the shores of the 5,540-acre O.C. Fisher Reservoir. Campsites sit three to five miles from the trailhead, accessible by foot, horseback, or mountain bike through semi-arid West Texas terrain. Water sources exist in the area but not at every site; campers must pack in and pack out all supplies. The landscape features desert scrub and grassland with access to the Concho River and lake for fishing and paddling. Leave-no-trace principles guide this remote camping experience.
