Lakeview Day Use Area occupies the South Shore of San Angelo State Park, overlooking the 5,540-acre O.C. Fisher Reservoir on West Texas high plains at 1,847 feet elevation. The North Concho River feeds the lake in a semi-arid landscape of desert scrub, grassland, and scattered trees. Amenities include picnic facilities and direct access for fishing, swimming, boating, and paddling. The South Shore location provides a gateway to 50 miles of multiuse trails for hiking and mountain biking through the surrounding terrain. Water access varies with seasonal lake levels.
