Palo Duro Canyon State Park encompasses 28,000 acres of red rock canyonlands with sites for tents and RVs, many with water access. The Civilian Conservation Corps built much of the camping infrastructure in the 1930s, including picnic areas with tables, fireplaces, and receptacles. Equestrian sites accommodate visitors traveling with horses. Rim-top cabins offer scenic vistas and sunrise views into the canyon. Group sites and the Mack Dick Pavilion serve gatherings. Park Road 5 descends from rim to canyon floor through dramatic red formations.
