Nestled 30 minutes southwest of Fort Worth on the northern edge of the Hill Country at 764-foot elevation, this 528-acre park centers on 116-acre spring-fed Cedar Lake. The Civilian Conservation Corps built the lake, dam, and distinctive hand-carved spillway (resembling a waterfall after rain) in the 1930s. Nearly 13 miles of trails range from easy to technical; a 6-mile mountain-bike loop offers challenging terrain. Campsites include water, electricity, and sewer hookups; an ADA-accessible fishing pier provides free gear. A boat ramp serves no-wake boating only; kayak rentals available.
