The South Group Lodge Complex sits within 230-acre Estero Llano Grande State Park in the Rio Grande Valley, set in mature Tamaulipan thorn forest near Weslaco. This group facility accommodates up to 46 people in a barracks with six bedrooms featuring bunk beds, private bathrooms with showers, and full commercial kitchen. The property includes a 45'×72' meeting hall, outdoor barbecue pit, and access to wetlands trails. The park, which opened in 2006, is part of the World Birding Center network and hosts over 350 bird species.
