2,013-acre barrier island park positioned between Galveston Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, protecting dunes, estuaries, wetlands, brackish ponds, and coastal beaches. Diverse habitat supports over 300 bird species and mammals including white-tailed deer, raccoons, coyotes, and armadillos. Numerous trails provide wildlife viewing and scenery opportunities. Coastal camping and bay and gulf water access available throughout the park.
