Premium camping area in southeast Texas hardwood forest 45 miles southwest of Houston. Forty back-in sites with 50-amp electric service, water hookups, picnic tables, and nearby shower facilities. The park spans three distinct ecosystems with multiple lakes supporting fishing from shore and piers. Thirty-seven miles of trails—including wheelchair-accessible routes—wind through wetlands and forests. The George Observatory, operated by the Houston Museum of Natural Science, offers Saturday-night stargazing. Abundant wildlife and birdwatching opportunities.
