Part of Buescher State Park north of Smithville, set within the Lost Pines ecosystem containing the westernmost loblolly pines in the US. The 1,016-acre park features a 25-acre lake for fishing and paddling, historic Civilian Conservation Corps structures from the 1930s, and a 7.7-mile hiking trail. Camping options include sites with electricity, water only, or primitive walk-in configurations; screened shelters and cabins also available. Restrooms with showers throughout.
